Features & Benefits
- Typical pullout values in cured concrete (3000 psi) are 400 lbs. for the 3/16-in. shank diameter, 800 lbs. for the 1/4-in. shank diameter zinc alloy anchors.
- The GSA number for government projects is FFS-325, Group V, Type 2, Class 3 for zinc alloy anchors.
Product Use
Pre-drill a 1/4-in. or 3/16-in. hole using a carbide tip SDS or straight shank drill bit. The diameter of the hole must match the shank diameter of the masonry anchor. The pre-drilled hole must be a minimum of 1/2-in. deeper than the anchor embedment. The OMG Masonry Anchor is then installed with a hammer.
Prior to job start, contact OMG to perform a pull out test to determine deck suitability and pullout values.
Minimum fastener embedment into the wall should be 5/8-in. for the 3/16-in. shank masonry anchor and 3/4-in. for the 1/4-in. shank masonry anchor.
